The Raiffeisen principle
Earning trust
Fire service-friendly employer
Every two years, the Austrian federal firefighters association
(Bundesfeuer-
wehrverband)
presents the award for fire service-friendly employer. For the
first time, the award has gone to the Raiffeisen-Bankengruppe Tirol, which
along with the 78 Tyrolean Raiffeisen banks and Raiffeisen-Landesbank Tirol
AG has made a significant contribution to public safety. The nationwide award
has been presented by the fire service since 2005 as a symbolic thank-you to
employers throughout Austria who set the right example. Here we see Albert
Kern, fire chief and president of the federal firefighters association, Dr Hannes
Schmid, chairman of the Raiffeisen-Bankengruppe Tirol, Commandant Peter
Hölzl of the Tyrolean fire service and Interior Minister Johanna Mikl-Leitner at
the award ceremony.
Training at Raiffeisen-Landesbank Tirol AG
These 22 young Tyroleans from all corners of the region embarked on their
working lives in 2013. They opted to train as bank clerks at Raiffeisen and
received one of the sought-after youth training posts. The training period lasts
three years, and may be done with or without the Austrian school-leaving
certificate
(Matura)
. The Tyrolean Raiffeisen banks currently offer places to 52
young people. Dr Hannes Schmid, chairman of Raiffeisen-Bankengruppe Tirol,
welcomed the new intake of banking staff at an induction day in Innsbruck.
